Terms & Conditions: Pre-Need Planning

Summary

Drone Memorials is committed to providing dignified, professional aerial tributes. This document consolidates our refund rules, cancellation terms, service agreements, privacy practices, and pre-need planning provisions. By purchasing a pre-need plan, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

1. Pre-Need Plan Overview

A pre-need plan allows you to arrange and prepay for your future ash scattering memorial at today's prices. This provides peace of mind and relieves your loved ones of planning decisions during a difficult time.

1.1 Price Lock Guarantee

Your price is locked at the time of purchase. If our service rates increase in the future, no additional charges will apply. What you pay now fully covers the service as specified.

1.2 Plan Activation

When the time comes, your executor or chosen representative must:

  • Contact Drone Memorials directly
  • Provide your account number
  • Provide a copy of the death certificate

Once activated, we will coordinate with your representative to schedule the ceremony according to your documented wishes.

1.3 Documentation of Wishes

At the time of purchase, you will complete a Pre-Need Planning Form specifying:

  • Preferred scattering location(s)
  • Ceremony package selection
  • Music, video, and participation preferences
  • Any special requests or spiritual considerations

These wishes are maintained on file and followed at the time of activation.

2. Refunds & Cancellations (Pre-Need)

Pre-need plans are subject to the same refund structure as regular purchases, with the following clarifications.

2.1 Full Refund Window

You are eligible for a 100% refund if your cancellation request is received within 30 days of the original purchase date. No fees are deducted.

2.2 After 30 Days (Prior to Activation)

If you cancel after the initial 30-day period and the plan has not yet been activated (the individual is still living), Drone Memorials will provide one a refund of up to 10% of the total purchase amount.

2.3 After Activation

Once the plan has been activated (following the death of the individual) and a ceremony date has been scheduled, the cancellation terms for regular purchases apply. Specifically:

  • Cancellations within 90 days of the scheduled ceremony date are non-refundable
  • The ceremony may be rescheduled in accordance with the rescheduling policy below

2.4 Transferability

Pre-need plans are non-transferable to another individual. If circumstances change, please contact us to discuss options.

3. Rescheduling & Rebooking (Pre-Need)

3.1 Rescheduling After Activation

Once activated, the same rescheduling terms as regular purchases apply:

  • Rebooking up to 14 days before the ceremony: no penalty
  • Rebooking less than 14 days before the ceremony: may incur a $150 coordination fee

3.2 Weather Guarantee

If adverse weather conditions prevent the ceremony, we will reschedule at no additional cost, based on availability.

4. Service Agreements & Scope

4.1 Services Covered

Your pre-need plan includes the services specified in your selected package at the time of purchase. If you wish to upgrade your package upon activation (e.g., from Essential Farewell to Soaring Tribute), you may do so by paying the difference based on rates at time of upgrade.

4.2 Location Feasibility

Scattering locations requested at the time of purchase are documented. Upon activation, if the requested location is no longer legally accessible due to changes in regulations, airspace restrictions, or municipal bylaws, Drone Memorials will work with your representative to identify a suitable alternative as close as possible to the original request.

4.3 Travel Fees

Travel fees are handled at the time of booking. If your requested location requires travel beyond the Lower Mainland, travel fees will be assessed and paid, based on rates at the time of booking.

4.4 Participation & Media Release

By purchasing a pre-need plan, you indicate your preferences regarding participation (in-person, remote, private) and media release. These preferences will be honored at the time of activation.

5. Privacy Policy Summary

Pre-need client information is securely stored and maintained on file until activation.
