Funeral Home Partner Program
Offer Families a New Option to Scatter Ashes
Every funeral director knows this moment: A family sits across from you, ashes in hand, and says they want something different. Not a cemetery. Not a mantle. Something that feels like the person they lost — a place they loved, a landscape that meant something, a goodbye that actually feels like one.
That's the moment Drone Memorials was built for.
We are Canada's first drone ash scattering memorial service. Since launching in January 2026, we have helped families across British Columbia return their loved ones — and their pets — to the landscapes that shaped their lives. Mountains, coastlines, inlets, vineyards, rivers, open fields. Places a family couldn't reach on their own, handled entirely by us.
We don't replace what you do. We extend it.
What We Offer Families After Cremation
When a family has chosen cremation and is deciding what comes next, drone ash scattering gives them a meaningful, dignified, and deeply personal option that most have never considered.
What the Service Includes
We handle every detail so families don't have to:
Families choose a location that meant something to their loved one. We take care of everything else.
Why Families Choose Aerial Ash Scattering
For many families, the alternatives to drone ash scattering feel incomplete. Keeping ashes at home can feel like an unfinished goodbye. Hand-scattering at a beach or trail can be awkward, messy, and emotionally underwhelming. A cemetery plot may not reflect who the person was at all.
A drone ash scattering ceremony gives families:
This is a goodbye that feels worthy of the life lived.
Why Funeral Homes Partner With Us
Drone Memorials is not a funeral home. We do not offer body transport, preparation, embalming, or direct cremation services. We work exclusively with families after cremation — which means we are never in competition with the services you provide.
What we are is a trusted next step.
You Stay in Control of the Relationship
When you refer a family to Drone Memorials, you remain their primary point of care. We handle the aerial ceremony. You continue to support them through the broader planning process. Many funeral homes find that offering this option increases families' confidence in their overall experience — because they feel like every possibility was considered.
Families Are Already Asking
Aerial memorials are growing in public awareness. Families are arriving at funeral homes having already researched drone ash scattering online. When your team can confidently answer those questions and point families toward a trusted provider, you become the funeral home that went the extra mile. That reputation compounds.
No Liability Passes to You
Drone Memorials carries its own full liability insurance and manages all permitting and compliance requirements independently. When you refer a family to us, you are connecting them with a licensed, insured service provider — nothing more. We do not create any additional legal exposure for your firm.
How the Referral Process Works
We have made the referral process as simple as possible for your team — and built it so your business is automatically credited every time a referral converts.
Step One — Introduce the Option
When a family is finalizing cremation arrangements and discussing what to do with the ashes, your team mentions drone ash scattering as one available option. You don't need to explain every detail — a brief description and a referral to dronememorials.com is enough.
Step Two — Choose How You Refer
We offer two referral options, and you can use one or both:
Affiliate Link — A unique link you can add to your website, email footer, or any digital communication. When a family books through your link, the referral is tracked automatically and your business is credited the referral fee. No manual tracking required.
Referral Code — A unique discount code tied to your business. When families enter it at booking, they receive a discount on their service and your business is automatically credited. This option works well for in-person conversations — your team can simply hand a family a card with the code.
Both options track every referral back to your business so you get paid. You don't need to chase anything down or follow up with us — the system handles it.
Step Three — We Handle the Rest
Interested families contact us directly. We walk them through location options, timing, logistics, and pricing. We answer every question. You don't need to be involved in the operational details.
Step Four — The Ceremony
We coordinate the date, travel to the location, conduct the ceremony, and deliver the video keepsake to the family. If the family wishes, they can attend in person. If not, we livestream the ceremony so they can watch from anywhere in the world.
Step Five — You Follow Up
After the ceremony, the family returns to you for any remaining needs. The relationship stays yours.
Compliance and Licensing — What You Need to Know
We understand that funeral homes operate in a highly regulated environment. Before recommending any external service provider, your team needs to be confident in their credentials.
Transport Canada Compliance
All Drone Memorials flights are conducted by licensed drone pilots operating in full compliance with Transport Canada regulations. We do not fly without proper authorization.
Permitting
Scattering ashes by drone is legal across most public land in British Columbia. Exceptions include national and provincial parks. Municipal parks may be permitted on a case-by-case basis. Drone Memorials manages all required permissions for every flight — your firm is never responsible for permitting.
Insurance
Drone Memorials carries full liability insurance covering every flight and ceremony. Documentation is available upon request.
